In 1982, Dennis Eckenrode established Dennis R. Eckenrode Rare Coins in Cleona. Dennis was a numismatist and was a featured speaker on radio and television warning people of coin solicitations. His love for coins was immense, and he was a member of the American Numismatic Association, Red Rose Coin Club, Lebanon Valley Coin Club and the Florida United Numismatists. He ran the shop along with his wife Betty until his passing in March of 2010. Betty then took over along with the help of their sons, Cary and Bryan. Today, Betty and Cary are still involved, but Bryan performs the day-to-day-operations of the shop.
